Star Struck Gaming’s The Best Of E3 2018 Confirmed Games

With E3 2018 now feeling like a distant memory gamers can now look forward to the E3 2018 confirmed games, putting preorders down for the most anticipated upcoming games of this year and 2019.

All the games have now been announced so there’s only one thing left to do – provide you with a list of what we think were the best E3 2018 confirmed games during the expo.

The Last of Us Part 2

It’s a given that most of us knew The Last Of Us Part 2 was on it’s way, what we didn’t know was what it was going to be about, and how it would follow on from the original game. Fortunately this was one of the E3 2018 confirmed games that came to the conference, and with a trailer that lasted over ten minutes it didn’t disappoint.

Marvel’s Spider-Man

At number two, we have Marvel’s Spider-Man. Announced at E3 2017 with a pretty minimalistic teaser trailer, Insomniac Games brought the web-slinging Peter Parker to the E3 2018 conference with more about what we could expect from the game and of course the one thing every gamer actually wants to see – gameplay. Although I already have a PS4 Pro I hold my hands up that I’m seriously considering the custom Spider-Man PS4 Pro that’s rumoured to be coming our way with the release of the title (fingers crossed).

Skull and Bones

Speaking with a few mates regards the gameplay trailer we saw amongst the E3 2018 confirmed games list, a few people were a bit sceptical about how open-world this game is going to be. For me personally, I was blown away by the gameplay at Ubisoft’s 2018 conference, and even if its not as open world as some might hope, sailing the seas Skull and Bones style is definitely slapped onto my preorder list.

Sea Of Thieves DLC updates

Ok this one may not be a new game announcement, but to Sea of thieves fans this is just what the doctor ordered. Fans have been eagerly waiting for some new content folowing the Hungering Deep DLC released last month. Things have been kept pretty quiet in terms of what content was going to be coming to the game (other than rough release dates), but now that the E3 2018 confirmed games are no longer kept under wraps we can guarantee this is coming in the next couple of months.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

After the image leaked about Assassin’s Creed Odyssey prior to the E3 2018 confirmed games list I’m sure I wasn’t alone in my excitement when Ubisoft confirmed this game was in fact the real deal. The second-long teaser we saw prior to E3 2018 left many pondering who we’d be playing the role of as the main character of the game, and after Ubisoft took a different direction showing we’ll actually get to choose between two playable characters I for one was pretty hyped.

And now the E3 2018 confirmed games are like an honourable game over…

So that’s it for E3 2018, we’ve kept you updated with the conferences, you’ve seen the games and their trailers, now all that’s left for you to do is put your name down for a preorder and wait patiently until they come out!

I've been a gamer ever since I was old enough to hold a controller, early 90's to be exact. My first console was a NES, with my favourite games ranging from Super Mario to Duck Hunt. Fast forward almost 30 years and I'm now a PS4, PC and Switch player. My ideal genres are RPG and RTS titles, so Assassin's Creed, Kingdom Hearts, Viv 6 and Two Point Hospital are included in my mix.

Have your say!
