Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 – Get Yours Early

Something unusual is happening today; Call Of Duty: Black ops 4 is being made available to collect a day ahead of its release from GAME stores all across the country as per a blog post on the GAME website.

When can you collect the game?

If you’ve pre-ordered (even if you haven’t) a copy of the game you will be able to collect your copy from a GAME store as early as this evening at 6PM GMT.

Why a day early?

Activison announced that there would be a 50GB update that was mandatory to download and install on day one. The reason for launching the collection of physical copies a day earlier is to cope with that mammoth download, so the game will be good to go on or even before launch day.

For those who pre-ordered the title, GAME assure customers that ”your copy will be dispatched so you’ll also receive it in time for launch.” This could well mean that online delivery orders arrive a day earlier than launch, but I guess that doesn’t mean its guaranteed for today.

Along with the base copy of the game, players will be able to get their hands on a ”Mystery Box Edition, which comes with its own replica box of goodies based on the one found in Zombies, and the Black Ops Pass. This pass will ensure you get a bonus Zombies map at launch, along with extra maps and characters that’ll be released throughout the year.”

Stocks ARE limited

If you haven’t already pre-ordered the game, but wish to pick yourself a copy this evening then bear in mind that stocks will be limited. In other words it may be worth going for a click and collect order if available prior to heading down to your local GAME store. The last thing we’d want is you heading into town excited to get the game and saying they’ve completely run out of stock!

Whenever you get your copy Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4, enjoy!

I've been a gamer ever since I was old enough to hold a controller, early 90's to be exact. My first console was a NES, with my favourite games ranging from Super Mario to Duck Hunt. Fast forward almost 30 years and I'm now a PS4, PC and Switch player. My ideal genres are RPG and RTS titles, so Assassin's Creed, Kingdom Hearts, Viv 6 and Two Point Hospital are included in my mix.

Have your say!
