Mortal Kombat 11 Terminator gameplay trailer shows his punishing moves

It’s less than two weeks away until we see T-800 making his way into Mortal Kombat 11. It looks as though the developers are just as excited as we are, and couldn’t wait to showcase the latest Mortal Kombat 11 Terminator gameplay trailer for us to enjoy.

It’s interesting that the Mortal Kombat 11 Terminator gameplay trailer has only just surfaced considering the extinction-seeking android is coming to us in less than two weeks. Those who have purchased the Kombat Pack will be receiving the shiny new character on October 8th, and the general audience will be able to take him for a spin on October 15th. The trailer shows us just how devastating his moves can be during a match, and as the Mortal Kombat 11 Terminator gameplay trailer shows he certainly does not hold back.

The T-800 moves in the way we’d expect him to with a heavy gait and takes care of his opponents with the same level of devastation and cold determination we’ve seen displayed throughout the entire Terminator series.

We first heard about the reveal of the new Mortal Kombat 11 Terminator gameplay trailer on the PlayStation Blog in a post by Brendan George, the games Lead Character Artist. In the post, George also talks about some new Terminator skins coming to the game as well as skins available for other characters in the roster. He also talks about his inspiration for bringing the apocalyptic android into the Mortal Kombat world.

George states “The team added a lot of new features, pushing everything to its technical limits to make all gameplay, intros, victories, Fatal Blows and Fatalities feel truly impressive,” and added “The character team worked hard to not only add new systems for all the Terminator dismemberment and Krushing Blow content but to also add new features enabling the addition of decal elements. These allowed us to give the Terminator several different shirt options.”

The Mortal Kombat 11 Terminator gameplay trailer additionally reveals an Endoskeleton mechanic which could be a game-changer for the receiving opponent. Essentially incoming attacks will just bounce off the Terminator but in order to use this the T-800 he needs to have critically low health with the correct skill equipped in the final round. The DLC releases in the latter part of October which will introduce new skins bringing in “younger” and “battle-damaged” Terminator variants.

I've been a gamer ever since I was old enough to hold a controller, early 90's to be exact. My first console was a NES, with my favourite games ranging from Super Mario to Duck Hunt. Fast forward almost 30 years and I'm now a PS4, PC and Switch player. My ideal genres are RPG and RTS titles, so Assassin's Creed, Kingdom Hearts, Viv 6 and Two Point Hospital are included in my mix.

Have your say!
