PlayStation Plus August 2017 games have been revealed! Check this out to see what you’ll be getting

Welcome back dudes and dudettes! I normally post the update for Xbox Games With Gold before I talk about PlayStation Plus freebies, but this month i thought i’d spin things a little with the great lineup of free games coming to the PlayStation in August 2017.

Check out the video below or read on to get something a little more detailed about the free games for August.

This month PlayStation Plus members are going to get some awesome games to enjoy (in my opinion), and each one is listed below so you can decide whether you’ll download or not.

Just Cause 3

Avalanche Studios and Square Enix worked together to bring this one to all major platforms. If blowing things up in the most creative way possible hits the sweet spot, check this out. Personally I’ve played this and it’s not the kind of game you need to play the prequels for. You literally have to capture military guarded districts by destroying everything you possibly can!

Assassin’s Creed: Freedom Cry

Following on from Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag, Freedom Cry sees players taking control of Captain Adewale sailing the Caribbean to plunder trade ships full of slaves. Adewale, previously the second in command to Edward Kenway, is now a daring assassin who has received all of his training from pirates. Adewale has mastered new weapons including a hidden blade, a machete, and a booming blunderbuss.

Super Motherload

This game features up to 4 players couch co-op gameplay in an adventure where digging is truly necessary. With the story line coming from Image Comics and a fully voiced cast of Americans and Soviets, and the ability to purchase and fully upgrade your mining pod, this one could be pretty interesting.

As the player, you are employed by the Solarus Corporation, who are an inter-planetary mining business who have created the tools required to reap the rewards of what Mars has to offer, enabling the resources to be used on planet Earth. The catch is, as soon as you arrive on mars you realise things aren’t as you expected.

Set in a futuristic arena boasting a whimsical disco floor, where you’ll travel across on your hoversnake, this sports based game will see players avoiding other Snakeballers with up to 8 other players online to increase the giggles.

You’ll play as a youngster who’s decided to head down a well in the search for untold treasures such as red gems, the problem is all you’ll have to battle strange creatures is your Gunboots to protect you.

PS Vita

Level 22

Now this one to me sounds like a bit of a laugh; if you’re late for work then you’d better start worrying. Players take control of Gary who’s an office working who oversleeps due to being hungover, however it’s not the first time he”s been late for work and theres a chance of him losing his job. The idea is to sneak his way into the office across 22 floors without being spotted!

I've been a gamer ever since I was old enough to hold a controller, early 90's to be exact. My first console was a NES, with my favourite games ranging from Super Mario to Duck Hunt. Fast forward almost 30 years and I'm now a PS4, PC and Switch player. My ideal genres are RPG and RTS titles, so Assassin's Creed, Kingdom Hearts, Viv 6 and Two Point Hospital are included in my mix.

Have your say!
