It has to be said that the Walking Dead Season 10 exhibit stole some of the limelight at San Diego Comic Con 2019. During the panel, the release date in addition to a trailer was unveiled for the Walking Dead Season 10. Now though, we’ve been given two of the first Walking Dead season 10 images which show off Thora Birch’s new entry to the show as Gamma.

Walking Dead season 10 images – who is Gamma?

When these new Walking Dead season 10 images emerged, many fans were asking who exactly Thora Birch was showing off as Gamm and what her role would be in the next series. There’s no other way to put it than to say Gamma absolutely worships Alpha, the leaders of the terrifying Whisperers group who wear the faces of Walkers in order to get by in the new world. Gamma, a new recruit of this group is likely to have something to say about the relationship between Alpha and her daughter Lydia, and will no doubt put the spanner in the works at some point to sever this. Daryl gave Lydia a lot of help in Season 9, feeling a need to protect her after seeing the terrors her mother brought to Hill Top.

The two Walking Dead season 10 images below feature Gamma wearing her mask, and what she looks like underneath – I prefer the latter personally.

We’ll no doubt get to see many more Walking Dead season 10 images, but for now that’s all AMC have revealed. The air date on AMC will be 6th October 2019, so only a few more months to wait. Aside from Thora Birch, there will also be some additional newcomers. I mean after the losses of the group in season 9, that’s not entirely surprising.

A post from The Hollywood Reporter also confirmed Danai Gurira who plays Michonne will also be leaving the show, stating “I would just like to say that this has been one of the purest joys of my life to play this role and to be amongst these people and those who are not here right now and amongst all of you,” and further added “I’m very thankful for the experience I’ve had in ways I can’t state right now. My heart does not leave in any way, shape or form. The TWD family is forever. The connection between us never ends.”

Have your say!
