Avengers Endgame Easter Eggs – Google Hides One & ‘Snaps’ Into Place

A few words before we begin; you will not find any spoilers in this post whatsoever, and you can already check out the first of the Avengers Endgame Easter Eggs on Google right now.

Google’s Avengers Endgame Easter Eggs – what’s the snap?

Thanks to a Reddit post discovering the news, by simply opening a Google search and typing in Thanos you will see his bio appear in the right-hand side of the search results. Specifically there’ll be a small thumbnail of Thanos which will have a gold Infinity Gauntlet appear next to him. What does it do you ask? |if you haven’t already taken the few second to click and see Google’sĀ  Avengers Endgame Easter Eggs then as you’d imagine, much like the movie the Infinity Gauntlet uses Thanos’ Snap which wipes away your search results. This will include the Top stories area, the People Also Ask, and the Video area which all dissolve into dust.

Beware – if you haven’t already watched Avengers Endgame then be careful, searching for Thanos may also bring unwelcome posts which could ruin your experience by revealing spoilers you wish you hadn’t seen.

Google’s Avengers Endgame Easter Eggs is clearly in place to tie in with the Thanos snap we saw turn our heroes to dust with in Infinity War. Of course, the events in this week’s release of Avengers: Endgame is set to rectify the chaos that Thanos has caused, mainly because the Captain Marvel distress call has been sent meaning the Marvel heroes aren’t ready to give up just yet. Fortunately at the time of writing, Avengers Endgame is officially released and ready for you to watch. As we mentioned in our Avengers Endgame spoiler-free first reviews, it’s worth trying to avoid social media while you can to avoid seeing any unnecessary spoilers. The longer you wait to see the movie, the higher your chances of seeing a plot ruiner you wish you hadn’t – warning over!

Disclaimer – Although the method has been showed to work for some, there have been several reports coming in to say the Infinity Gauntlet is not appearing in searches, regardless of browser or which country you’re in. So no complaining if you can’t get the Gauntlet to appear!

I've been a gamer ever since I was old enough to hold a controller, early 90's to be exact. My first console was a NES, with my favourite games ranging from Super Mario to Duck Hunt. Fast forward almost 30 years and I'm now a PS4, PC and Switch player. My ideal genres are RPG and RTS titles, so Assassin's Creed, Kingdom Hearts, Viv 6 and Two Point Hospital are included in my mix.

Have your say!
