Players have been counting down the minutes following the leak of an Epic Store GTA 5 release, offering players the chance to download and keep the game forever.
Epic Store GTA 5, what’s the hype?
If you’ve already got GTA V on PC then there’s probably not much to tell, however, if you were an early adopter of GTA V then you likely completed the game ages ago and had no reason to shell out £30 to get it back again more recently. There have been some fantastic improvements since GTA Online was introduced, such as the introduction of the Diamond Casino so there’s plenty of play left in the years-old title.
Rockstar’s smash hit is available to grab right now, for free, via the Epic Games Store, but due to the sheer volume of traffic, many are struggling to get their free download.
Epic has communicated they’re aware of the issues with the download and are currently working to get the issue resolved.
We are currently experiencing high traffic on the Epic Games Store.
We are aware that users may be encountering slow loading times, 500 errors, or launcher crashing at this time and we are actively working to scale. We'll provide an update as soon as we can.
