Yesterday saw the long-awaited Assassins Creed Valhalla announced during a stream that lasted for the majority of the day. In typical Ubisoft teaser fashion, the stream wrapped up saying all will be revealed tomorrow (30th April).
With Assassins Creed Valhalla announced, when can I learn more?
Now that we’ve been lucky enough to get Assassin’s Creed Valhalla announced, the fully-fledged reveal is set to take place at 5 pm CET, that’s 8 am PT, 4 pm BT and 11 am ET.
When we saw Assassins Creed Valhalla announced yesterday the stream resembled that of a piece of art with a timelapse which showed off some of the game’s themes, and although it was a little tedious to watch, there were some great highlights to come as a result. The biggest reveal was the name, and the news surrounding the successor to follow Assassin’s Creed Odyssey would follow a Vikings theme was also confirmed. Viking axes, long bushy beards and ships are featured in the artwork, so you’d better have some heavy armour at the ready!
While on the subject of massive Viking boats, there are a few hints that suggest that we could see nostalgic revisit to the sailing we saw back in Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag based on the vessels that appear on the left of the artwork. Sailing was never completely forgotten about in Assassin’s Creed but the full set sail experience hasn’t been the same since Black Flag. Seaside raids and sailing go hand in hand with Vikings, the artwork displaying the wrecked castle shows that! Having a bigger naval combat focus would be great again, so it’d be awesome to see it make a return.
Towards the latter part of the Valhalla announcement, we saw images depicting a raven, which could well be the concept of the crest or symbol that’s attached to the Viking infused universe. There’s not much else to say following seeing Assassins Creed Valhalla announced, although its only speculation for now. Keep your eyes on the full reveal today where all of our guesswork will be certified. Regardless, it’s great to know the game is on its way, and it’ll be interesting to see how that follows up to AC Odyssey!
