Final Fantasy 7 Remake trailer finally appears during PlayStation stream

Following on from the March State of Play show, this week saw PlayStation live stream a second show which was around half the length of the first one. Fortunately this week’s State of Play lineup contained what we’ve all been waiting for; a  Final Fantasy 7 Remake trailer.

Not only did the shows tease a new Final Fantasy 7 Remake trailer but additionally showed us a Medievil Remake, and a few other new announcements. If you weren’t able to tune into the show we’ve provided details of what you missed out on. One thing you won’t see however, is any updates on the PS5 although we were warned this wouldn’t be making an appearance. Although Sony won’t be joining the ranks at E3 2019, time will tell whether any surprise details appear at the show.

It looks as though all the rumours and teases were real leading up to the State of Play show, and after it was revealed back in 2015 the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trailer finally came to life. Although the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trailer isn’t too lengthy, it did give us shots of some of the very early missions. The missions include The first encounter between Cloud and Aerith, in addition to Biggs, Cloud, Jessie and Barret needing to blow the Mako Reactor. The Final Fantasy 7 Remake trailer showed some very good looking visuals including the Guard scorpion Bot boss fight, and some highly fast and reactive combat scenes. We are likely to see more of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake at E3, with the State of Play show finishing to say “more to come in June,”.

At this point in time I think we can safely say we’re certainly drawing closer to a Final Fantasy 7 Remake, and hopefully we won’t have to wait much longer.

I've been a gamer ever since I was old enough to hold a controller, early 90's to be exact. My first console was a NES, with my favourite games ranging from Super Mario to Duck Hunt. Fast forward almost 30 years and I'm now a PS4, PC and Switch player. My ideal genres are RPG and RTS titles, so Assassin's Creed, Kingdom Hearts, Viv 6 and Two Point Hospital are included in my mix.

Have your say!
