PlayStation Classic game list
We have finally received confirmation from Sony of the PlayStation Classic game list, which we already knew was going to be around the 20 titles mark but had no idea which titles would be bundled. That’s all changed now though.
When will it launch?
The upcoming mini console reboot of the PlayStation 1 dubbed the ‘PlayStation Classic’ is due for a release on December 3rd. All the games are due to come as pre-loaded as ROMs onto the console itself – as previously revealed when the PlayStation Classic Console was first announced. Despite there only being a mere five games revealed during the initial announcement, we now know which games as well as how many the console will come bundled with.
Onto the games
A recent post on the PlayStation blog states that the list of games included among the PlayStation Classic game list are set to have a good variety of titles that we all knew and loved on the original console. To name a few favourites the list includes Tekken 3, Rayman, Metal Gear Solid, Destruction Derby and several others.
As far as has been communicated so far, the PlayStation Classic game list looks to offer the same variants of titles in both European and Americans regions, although Japan on the other hand are getting a slightly different list of titles. Tose in Japan are set to get some RPGs added to their PlayStation Classic console on launch day.
- Battle Arena Toshinden
- Cool Boarders 2
- Destruction Derby
- Final Fantasy VII
- Grand Theft Auto
- Intelligent Qube
- Jumping Flash
- Metal Gear Solid
- Mr Driller
- Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee
- Rayman
- Resident Evil Director’s Cut
- Revelations: Persona
- Ridge Racer Type 4
- Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo
- Syphon Filter
- Tekken 3
- Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six
- Twisted Metal
- Wild Arms
As you’d expect from PlayStation the release date of the mini console has significance as it is the same day that the original PS1 console launched back in 1994.

How much will the console cost?
Now that we have an idea of the PlayStation Classic game list we can also confirm the price is set to be available at a cost of £89.99 ($99 in the US). The console itself will include a USB power cable, HDMI cable, as well as two wired USB controllers. The controllers that come with the console are not going to have any analogue thumb sticks that we saw with the PlayStation DualShock controller.
