It may have felt like a lifetime for Marvel superfans, but the Black Panther 2 release date UK has, at last, had confirmation. The reveal came during D23 which is a massive Disney expo which takes place in Los Angeles each year. The confirmation came in the form of an announcement from Kevin Feige and Ryan Coogler, and needless to say, the fans went wild.
When is the Black Panther 2 release date UK?
Coogler announced that the Black Panther 2 release date UK would be set for May 6th 2022, which might be a little longer than fans anticipated waiting. The standalone Black Panther movie was dubbed as one of Marvel’s most successful additions to the MCU, and fans are surprised the sequel hasn’t made its way to cinemas much earlier.
Putting the Black Panther 2 release date UK aside though, it’s confirmed and it’s in the making, so at least there’s that bit of good news. There’s not too much in the way of specifics or plot details for Black Panther 2, but it’ll surely follow the events of Avengers: Endgame rather than being set before, considering the Black panther MCU entry is still relatively fresh.
“We’re working really hard and taking out time because we want it to be right,” says Coogler. Black Panther 2 won’t be the official name of the movie according to Feige. We almost found out who the villain was going to be in a teaser, but stopped short rather than actually saying a name.

It’ll be interesting to see how Black Panther 2 ties in with events from the Black Widow movie announced at Comic-Con 2019. There’s also the fact that Disney broke ties with Sony last week surrounding Spider-Man, so it’ll be interesting to see how that unfolds. Judging by the first Black Panther movie, however, there weren’t massive references to the rest of the MCU, although at that point the MCU Phase four was mostly hearsay. It’ll be a case of just seeing what pops up when the plot is revealed until then.
