Borderlands 3 Endgame Content Exceeds Borderlands 2 – That’s A Lot!

Borderlands 3 endgame

Following the very memorable boss fight that saw us taking down Handsome Jack in Borderlands 2, the Vault Hunters out there weren’t left with nothing more to do to say the least. Just when players beat the main game there then came a smashing 4 DLC instalments including Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt and Mr Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage (just to name a couple), the Borderlands 3 endgame is going to follow suit.

What to expect from the Borderlands 3 endgame

It’s already been confirmed on Twitter Gearbox’ Randy Pickford that the Borderlands 3 endgame content is going to surpass that of it’s predeccessor Borderlands 2. What this means is just when you reckon you’ve completed Borderlands 3 – think again.

It seems as though Tyreen and Troy (the Calypso Twins) are going to be the main event in Borderlands 3, which means there’s a good chance they’re going to take the role of the end boss fight. Once you complete the main story we’re very likely to see some kind of DLC if it’s following in the Borderlands 2 footsteps, and if that’s anything to go on there’ll be a lot of time invested in both the main story before we even get into the DLC.

There’s every chance we may see some sort of online mode added to the features list, although don’t get your hopes up that this could look like a Battle Royale – it’s quite unlikely. Although who knows what could be revealed prior to the September 13th release date, Gearbox may just have a few surprises up their sleeves.

In typical Borderlands fashion it’s the norm to basically get battered by enemies in the game at some point, taking Crawmerax the Invincible and Terramorphous the Invincible as prime examples – it wouldn’t be a bad thing for them to make an appearance.

With around five months until release the game is still a while off, and the Borderlands 3 endgame is even further when you think how lengthy the campaign is likely to be… Sigh… making myself feel worse about the long wait! But with waiting could come some more news, so silver linings and all that jazz!

Here’s everything we know so far about the Borderlands 3 release date, and also details about the Epic store exclusivity. If you’re yet to check out the trailer we’ve also got the Borderlands 3 teaser trailer ready for your viewing pleasure!

I've been a gamer ever since I was old enough to hold a controller, early 90's to be exact. My first console was a NES, with my favourite games ranging from Super Mario to Duck Hunt. Fast forward almost 30 years and I'm now a PS4, PC and Switch player. My ideal genres are RPG and RTS titles, so Assassin's Creed, Kingdom Hearts, Viv 6 and Two Point Hospital are included in my mix.

Have your say!
