Fortnite-Week-5-challenges-complete

It’s crazy to think we’re already 5 weeks into Epic Games‘ Season 8 Battle Pass, obviously with that comes the Fortnite Week 5 Challenges. Within the set which launched on March 28th is a challenge that rewards 5000 XP for completing a minimum of four of the seven total challenges. This week also saw a few bug and stability enhancements in the latest Fortnite patch.

Fortnite Week 5 Challenges (Battle Pass paid)

Get 15 bounces in a single throw with the Bouncy Ball toy

First up you will need to reach the 26th Battle Pass tier which will result in unlocking the Bouncy ball, once you’ve got that access the emote menu wheel to get it equipped.  Basically all you need to do here is to ensure you throw the ball and ensure that 15 consecutive bounces occur.Fortnite-Week-5-challenges-bouncy-ball

Question is, how exactly can this be done? Well the bad news is the bouncy ball packs some real bounciness – yep no joking! Small rooms like bedrooms, shacks, bathrooms and throwing the ball at closed doors is going to help here, as confined spaces is going to see the ball hit every wall in the enclosure several times and pretty rapidly.

Gain shields from Mushrooms

This first paid Battle Pass challenge will see you gaining shields from mushrooms, and you’ll be able to hunt these down by visiting Plesent Park and heading to the Western Forest or to Dusty Divot’s Lonely Lodge in the Eastern Forest area. As you embark on part 2 you will need to gain shields from small shield potions, this part is fairly straightforward. The final part is again quite simple and requires gaining half potions.

Use a Volcano Vent, a zipline, and a vehicle in the same match

So where exactly is the simplest area to ensure that in the same match, you use a volvano vent, a zipline, and any vehicle? First of all it’s worth noting that the area that surrounds Jungle Biome and the location itself is the only places where volcano vents reside. So Dusty Divot, Lazy Lagoon, Lonely Lodge, Retail row and Sunny Steps are the placers you’ll need to visit.

Check out the mountain’s base to discover the red coloured research structures, here’s where you can track down the vehicles. Whereas the ziplines will be more easily discoverable to help you embark up the mountain.

Eliminate opponents at Pirate Camps

Quite simple this one; make your way to a pirate camp (there are seven) and kill some other players. You only need to defeat 3 opponents total across the seven camps, do this all in the same match – you can find the camps by discovering the white flags with a Kraken symbol, our map will help you out but if you prefer them in detail they are as follows:

  1. Dusty Divot and Loot lake will have an empty house in between the areas.
  2. Southwest of Pleasant park hosts another empty house
  3. Salty Springs has one on top of the hill to the Southwest
  4. The bottom of the volcano in the Southwest area
  5. Lazy Lagoon, West area of the water
  6. Where the map connects to Desert Biome there’s a bridge, look for Retail Row in the Southern area
  7. Old Greasy Grove holds the last one in the frozen lake area of the Snow Biome

Fortnite Week 5 Challenges (free)

Complete a lap of the Race Track in Happy Hamlet

For this challenge you’ll need to find a drift board, these can be located by making your way to the race track which is Northwest of Happy Hamlet. Once you late a drift board jump on and start your race. Just stand still to initiate the race. Just head round the track for one lap – challenge complete.

If you struggle, the clip below shows you what to do.

Search chests at Paradise Palms or Shifty Shafts

You’ll find this challenge is very straightforward, just head over to Dusty Divot or Lazy Links, and once you are at the location you need to crack open all your chests. It’s not a bad idea if you’ve just started a match to attempt a land away from where most players will go to – usually away from the bus path. Paradise Palms would be one of the best places to go as it’s a large location which gives you a chance to do what you need to.

I guess the Fortnite season 8 trailer showed us some Piratey goings on!

Deal damage with Scoped Weapons to opponents

For the final of the Fortnite Week 5 Challenges you have several options in terms of weapons to choose from here. The Scoped Revolver, Thermal Rifle or Assault Rifles are your best bet. Select a weapon and take some high ground, deal 2000 damage to an opponent and it’s challenge complete.

Hidden Item

I've been a gamer ever since I was old enough to hold a controller, early 90's to be exact. My first console was a NES, with my favourite games ranging from Super Mario to Duck Hunt. Fast forward almost 30 years and I'm now a PS4, PC and Switch player. My ideal genres are RPG and RTS titles, so Assassin's Creed, Kingdom Hearts, Viv 6 and Two Point Hospital are included in my mix.
