It’s said to take in excess of 50 hours to complete the main storyline alone, slowly building up your honour and wealth in the process. On the other hand, if you’re looking for a way of cutting down the excessive playtime while still living a thriving life in the Wild west’s final days then we’ve got everything you need right here. Similar to both the original Red Dead Redemption and Rockstar’s GTA V, you have the option of having access to an abundance of Red Dead Redemption 2 cheats that unlock resources instantly, while adding some oddly formed quirks and gimmicks into your play through.

How to access the cheats menu

First up you are going to need to press the pause button and then head over to the settings area. When you’ve reached this part, press the Y button on Xbox One or Y on PS4 to access the Red Dead Redemption 2 Cheats area. Once this opens up you will see an assortment of cheats that appear locked. Obviously without this guide you won’t now what the codes are, what they do, or how to unlock them – fear not! In order to activate these cheat codes all you’ll need to do is enter the right phrase, a few of them however will need a little extra TLC.

As you scour the Wild West you will encounter newspapers that you can purchase in each town, and some of these light reads will allow you to access the trickier locked cheats. While most of these additional cheat codes will unlock some very odd results, like keeping Arthur Morgan continuously intoxicated, activating the codes will have some kind of impact on your game save. I've been a gamer ever since I was old enough to hold a controller, early 90's to be exact. My first console was a NES, with my favourite games ranging from Super Mario to Duck Hunt. Fast forward almost 30 years and I'm now a PS4, PC and Switch player. My ideal genres are RPG and RTS titles, so Assassin's Creed, Kingdom Hearts, Viv 6 and Two Point Hospital are included in my mix.

Have your say!
