When I mention The Sims, there is no doubt in my mind that you are familiar with the cute, and quite frankly, adorable game. It does have some pretty sinister undertones, like the frequent threat of death lingering ‘round the corner, and having complete responsibility for the lives of the precious little souls resting in your hands. Now, should you feel the need to do so, the game offers up a whole bunch of hilarious, useful and to be honest, rather strange The Sims 4 cheat codes. Choose to use these how you like… Make your Sims rich, happy and prosperous or perhaps bully them into damnation with your new-found powers, while making them as miserable as you possibly can. We won’t judge here at Starstruck!
We’re here to list all things cheat related and give you all the cheaty knowledge you’ll ever need in Sims 4. That doesn’t exclude you, console players, either, especially after the release of Sims 4 in the Playstation Plus Lineup. Keep on reading and keep a pen and paper handy because there are some real ‘good’ ns’.
The Sims 4 cheat codes: getting started
First thing you’ll need to do is whip out that cheat panel. There are multiple different ways of doing this, so make sure you use the controls below that apply to you:
PC Cheat Control Panel: Hold Both CTRL and SHIFT, then press C.
MAC Cheat Control Panel: Hold Both SHIFT and COMMAND, then press C.
PS4 Cheat Control Panel: Hold ALL BUMPERS down at once. (R1, R2, L1, L2).
XBOX Cheat Control Panel: Hold ALL BUMPERS down at once. (LB, RB, LT, RT).
Now the cheat control panel should be up in the top right corner of your screen. From now on, this is where you will input the following cheats.
The Sims 4 cheat codes: money Cheats
These money cheats are here to hopefully make the life of your sims that little bit stress-free.
Motherlode: Sim receives 50,000 Simoleons.
Rosebud: Sim receives 1,000 Simoleons.
Kaching: Sim receives 1,000 Simoleons.
Money X: X should be replaced with your desired amount of money e.g. Money 5000
FreeRealEstate On: All Lots in the surrounding area become free to purchase.
FreeRealEstate Off: If Lots were free, this cheat returns the price to its original value.
Household.autopay_bills true: Completely removes the need to pay bills.
Household.autopay_bills false: If Bills are disabled, then this cheat brings them back into the cycle.
The Sims 4 cheat codes: Sims Needs
Annoyingly, sims have needs in which need to be filled in order to keep them happy and alive (A pain I know right). These should help alleviate the inconvenience.
Sims.fill_all_commodities: fills all Sims needs.
fillmotive motive_energy: Restore Sims Energy
fillmotive motive_social: Fills your Sims’ Social needs
fillmotive motive_fun: Fills the Sims’ Fun needs
fillmotive motive_bladder: Relieves the need to Pee!
fillmotive motive_hunger: Fills up your Sims belly

sims.give_satisfaction_points X: replace X with how much satisfaction to give your sim

The Sims 4 cheat codes: Relationships
Is your sim feeling a little lonely? Or maybe a bit too popular?.
Relationships.create_friends_for_sim: This cheat spawns a sim that automatically becomes friends with your sim.
Relationship.introduce_sim_to_all_others: Your sim is now introduced to the entire neighbourhood!
modifyrelationship [YourSimFirstName] [YourSimLastName] [TargetSimFirstName] [TargetSimLastName] X LTR_Friendship_Main: Replace X with the level in which you want your two selected sims to be friends at. E.g. modifyrelationship Jamie Smith John Hall 100 LTR_Friendship_Main

[TargetSimLastName] X LTR_Romance_Main: Replace X with the level you wish for the romance between your two sims to be.

Building items usually require unlocking. This can be a pain when trying to build your dream home.
bb.ignoregameplayunlocksentitlement: unlock items only unlocked through career ventures
bb.showhiddenobjects: unlock some super-secret hidden catalogue items!
bb.enablefreebuild: build wherever your heart desires
bb.moveobjects on: move and place things wherever you wish
The Sims 4 cheat codes: Convenience and UI
Should your sim get stuck or should you need a UI change, read on…
resetsim [SimFirstName] [SimLastName]: If your sim is stuck, use this command to reset him entirely
headlineeffects on: This turns on effects such as names and plumbobs
headlineeffects off: This removes effects such as names and plumbobs
hovereffects on: The effect that appears when you hover on a sim can be toggled on with this
hovereffects off: This simply toggles off the effect when hovering over a sim
fullscreenToggle: switch the game between fullscreen and windowed mode, the small screen can help with Frames!
fps on: turn on the FPS counter which appears on the screen
fps off – turn off the FPS counter which appears on the screen
The Sims 4 cheat codes: cheats By Shift-Click
All Cheats Prior to this was entered into the cheat control panel. These are a little different. On PC, simply shift-click on a target. On XBOX Hold A+B both at the same. Similarly, press X+O For PS4.
- Shift-click on a sim where you can cheat their stats towards happiness.
- If you need, you can freeze their current stats by shift-clicking then selecting Cheat Need then Disable Need Decay.
- Shift-click on a selected Sim then choose Reset Object to bring their status back to its original state.
- Shift-click on an object and the menu will allow you to select ake dirty or make clean.
- Shift-click on the ground, this will allow you to teleport a sim of your choice to that location
- Shift-click on a Sim then click on Modify in CAS to change their features in the create a sim screen
- Shift-click an object then choose Reset Object to reset it to its original state.
