it’s only a matter of hours (at the time of writing) until the hugely anticipated Xbox Series X gameplay reveal lands onto our screens. This landmark event is set to showcase the first part of Microsoft’s Xbox Series X 2020 roadmap, so you’ll want to make sure you don’t miss out!

What time is the Xbox Series X gameplay reveal?

If you’re reading this, then you’ll likely have heard the Xbox Series X gameplay reveal drops today (May 7th), but might not have got to grips with the timing. We’ve got you covered. The Xbox Series X gameplay reveal airs at 8 am PDT, that’s 11 am EDT and 4 pm for those in the UK.

Where to watch the Xbox Series X gameplay reveal

Microsoft is streaming the event via their twitch channel which is geared up to give us an inside look at  “next-gen gameplay, trailers and sneak peeks from a wide variety of publishing partners and independent developers across the globe and industry”.

At this point we’ve not had much in the way of a games lineup other than Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, which is set to release later this year on all Xbox consoles (and PC), so we’ll likely see titles that’ll be cross-gen at the Xbox Series X gameplay reveal.

Several Smart Delivery games are to be announced at the event according to Microsoft, which is in place to ensure a streamlined cross-platform experience. Each of the titles announced will have Xbox Series X optimisation as standard, meaning higher framerate and improved resolutions, and other benefits like speedier load times.

Once the Xbox Series X gameplay reveal comes to an end you can be sure it’s one of many InsideXbox streams to take place, with Microsoft saying this is the first of many “monthly moments” that’ll be happening between now and the release later in 2020. These streams allow the company to share progress updates about the console as well as any Xbox series X games to look forward to.

I've been a gamer ever since I was old enough to hold a controller, early 90's to be exact. My first console was a NES, with my favourite games ranging from Super Mario to Duck Hunt. Fast forward almost 30 years and I'm now a PS4, PC and Switch player. My ideal genres are RPG and RTS titles, so Assassin's Creed, Kingdom Hearts, Viv 6 and Two Point Hospital are included in my mix.

Have your say!
