Anthem Microtransactions Guide – earn coin for free
Fortunately all of the above can be earned by playing, checking out the store’s crafting tab seems very much like progression purchasing. It has been confirmed however that you’ll only be able to earn these by stumbling across them in the wild, or alternatively by using coin. Fans have found additionally that Legendary and Masterwork loot has the potential to be added
The community has also pointed out that there is still a masterwork and legendary tier of gear that could be added at some point – but this will be a wait and see.
On a side note the Legion of Dawn items will give you an advantage during early game stages – you can unlock these by completing the tutorial in addition to Prospero’s beginning quest. With the level cap currently set to 30, and this gear only being level 18 it won’t be long before you replace it.
So in a nutshell at this point you’ll only be able to shell out around £25(ish) on Anthem which will unlock all the store has on offer right now. Feb 22nd will see the store refresh so this article will be updated as we know more. Should you choose to shell out any money, bear in mind that you will build up coin very early on in the game in addition to your free starting 40,000 coin. Completing the campaign plus side quests is said to earn around 120,000 which includes your 40,000 starting coin. It will be a wait and see as to whether you can repeat this each week and which (if any) other ways you can earn yourself some free in-game currency.
